Today I did my sketches during my morning walk.

For the first time I tried to sketch some architecture, because that’s what I would love to do when traveling. I find it quite hard. Where to start and how to get the right frame for it. I hope practise will help.

Art by the Week 
Funnily enough, I’m going on vacation next week and really looking forward to doing some architectural drawings, but plants intimidate me tremendously. So many textured organic lines going everywhere! Whereas architecture, almost by definition, is nice and structured and regular. (It occurs to me, now I’ve said that, that drawing a Frank Gehry building could be a really interesting exercise.)
Also, hi, I found your blog this morning and hope I’m not intruding or anything! I’m pretty new to WordPress and not sure whether it’s the Done Thing to just go barging into the comments of other people’s blogs, but I’m pretty pleased to find another daily-drawing blog and really love your watercolors.

With architecture I find it hard to overlook the whole scene and to abstract the relevant. But I guess it’s just the lack of practise. š
